Quali sono i segreti di bellezza delle hostess per avere un’acconciatura sempre perfetta?
Lo abbiamo chiesto a Isabela Manescu, hostess della compagnia aerea Wizz Air, per scoprire qualche curiosità e trucco utile per ogni donna
Isabela Manescu ha 22 anni ed è di nazionalità rumena: “Ho iniziato a lavorare in Wizz Air tre anni fa. Il tempo è passato molto velocemente dal primo giorno di BASIC Training, immagino che questo significhi che amo molto quello che faccio. Ho deciso di entrare a far parte di un equipaggio di volo quando ho volato per la prima volta con Wizz Air, a 8 anni. Ho scelto questo lavoro con il cuore e credo che non mi stancherò mai di lavorare per l’aviazione. Penso che il mio più grande risultato sia stato proprio realizzare il sogno di diventare una hostess“.
Ci sono delle indicazioni specifiche e/o delle linee guida per le acconciature delle hostess Wizz Air? I capelli devono essere sempre raccolti?
“Si. Gli standard per la cura personale sono molto alti in Wizz Air e lo staff di cabina deve sempre assicurarsi che la propria pettinatura sia perfetta, così come il make-up delle hostess. Abbiamo un manuale con delle linee guida molto precise che includono ogni singolo dettaglio del nostro aspetto: dallo stile dei capelli, al trucco, al colore delle unghie, fino alla lunghezza esatta delle nostre gonne. A seguito dell’assunzione la Compagnia organizza per le nuove hostess una giornata di formazione in cui vengono illustrate le indicazioni per ottenere un make-up e un’acconciatura perfetti, così come tutti i differenti tipi di raccolti possibili. I capelli delle hostess in WIZZ devono infatti essere accuratamente legati, l’unica eccezione è possibile solo in caso di tagli corti che non toccano le spalle“.
Che segreti ci sono dietro alle vostre acconciature sempre in ordine? Che tipo di prodotti usate?
Di solito uso la cera e la lacca per capelli. Per un effetto definito e ben curato meglio utilizzare una lacca ultra forte, mentre chi preferisce avere un lieve fissaggio con effetto naturale, potrà scegliere una lacca ultraleggera e flessibile. La lacca può anche essere abbinata a una cera per capellimorbida e idratante per il fissaggio: è un trucco se si vuole dare più struttura alla pettinatura e asciugare leggermente la crema, basta metterne una noce sul palmo della mano, spruzzare un pò di lacca e applicare sui capelli. In questo modo la cera non perderà la sua struttura modellante e morbida, ma risulterà più asciutta. Ovviamente per fissare un’acconciatura raccolta a lunga tenuta bisognerà poi pettinarli con un pettine mediamente stretto o con una spazzola piatta per tirare su i capelli senza fatica e gestire con facilità le ciocche ribelli che sfuggono da ponytail e chignon. Per ottenere un raccolto elaborato in poco tempo e pochi semplici gesti ci sono poi degli accessori ormai di uso comune utilizzati per creare delle acconciature perfette, come il tiracoda, la ciambella per lo chignon o le fascette di spugna per lo chignon basso a semicerchio. Sono una grande invenzione per le donne che come noi hanno bisogno di uno styling ordinato e professionale tutti i giorni.
Per il miglior raccolto è meglio avere un taglio particolare?
Non è sempre necessario avere un taglio particolare per realizzare un bel raccolto. Con i capelli lunghi può essere più facile fare una crocchia, ma anche con un taglio più corto è possibile esibire un bel raccolto, magari aiutandosi anche prodotti fissanti e con accessori per l’hairstyle. Oggi sono facilmente disponibili anche bun e code da applicare per chi vuole creare uno styling raccolto da capello lungo pur avendo un taglio corto.
Che consigli puoi dare alle ragazze che hanno i capelli tendente al crespo? E per chi ha problemi di volume?
Il primo consiglio per entrambi i casi è di non lavare i capelli tutti i giorni per non accentuare i problemi di capello crespo e assenza di volume. Per ridurre poi visibilmente i fastidiosi effetti è consigliabile utilizzare prodotti come la cera, le lacche o schiume per capelli. In generale, per uno styling liscio su capelli grossimeglio scegliere unprodotto districante e lisciante; se, invece, i capelli sono leggermente crespi ma sottili, servirà miscelare un prodotto stirante a un prodotto volumizzante. Per lo styling riccio, in presenza di capelli grossi e crespi il consiglio è quello di utilizzare una crema arricciante. Per ricci particolarmente crespi o aridi, invece, può essere necessario abbinare una crema ristrutturante o un balsamo senza risciacquo che potenzi l’effetto anticrespo.
Come mantenere i capelli sempre sani e luminosi? Usate dei prodotti naturali e/o ve ne prendete cura con delle pratiche particolari?
Non stressare troppo il capello con prodotti e trattamenti troppo aggressivi è fondamentale per mantenere i capelli sani e luminosi. E’ importante, inoltre, utilizzare prodotti di qualità e più naturali possibili, in grado di riequilibrare la struttura del capello. Per questo anche un’alimentazione sana e l’integrazione di cibi con proprietà specifiche per il nutrimento e la bellezza dei capelli è una buona pratica per prendersi cura naturalmente dei propri capelli. Sono soprattutto proteine, sali minerali e vitamine a influenzare maggiormente la qualità del capello e, tra i vari cibi maggiormente consigliati, ovviamente la frutta e la verdura hanno un ruolo come sempre primario.
La tua acconciatura preferita e più pratica durante il lavoro qual è e perché? Prova a raccontare alle lettrici i passaggi dando loro qualche trucco per crearla nel migliore dei modi
La mia acconciatura preferita è lo chignon. Penso che sia quella che meglio rappresenta lo stile dell’aviazione e che dà un aspetto molto professionale. Ci sono molti tipi di chignon, alto, basso, laterale, a banana, morbido. Per uno chignon classico per prima cosa bisogna procedere con lo styling dei capelli, scegliendo una piega liscia in modo da poter fermare i capelli con maggiore facilità e per avere un look in perfetto ordine. Si procede poi con la realizzazione di un coda di cavallo alta quanto si desidera lo chignon e ben tirata ai lati. Nel realizzare lo chignon alto classico si potrà lasciare una lieve bombatura dei capelli sulla fronte per un effetto più morbido. Una volta realizzata la pony tail se si segue il procedimento standard bisogna attorcigliare la coda su se stessa attorno alla base e fermarla con delle forcine per fissare l’acconciatura. Altrimenti si può utilizzare una ciambella, posizionandola alla base della coda e avvolgendo i capelli intorno fermandoli con delle forcine. In questo modo oltre ad avere uno chignon perfetto si otterrà anche un effetto volume.
What are the beauty secrets of the hostesses to always have a perfect hairstyle? We asked a few questions to Isabela Manescu, hostess of the Wizz Air airline, to discover some curiosities and useful tricks for every woman
Isabela Manescu is 22 years old and is of Romanian nationality. “I started working at Wizz Air three years ago. Time has passed very quickly since the first day of BASIC Training, I guess this means that I really love what I do. I decided to join a flight crew when I first flew with Wizz Air, aged 8. I chose this job with my heart and I believe that I will never tire of working for aviation. I think my greatest achievement has been to fulfill my dream of becoming a hostess “.
Are there any specific instructions and/or guidelines for the hairstyles of Wizz Air hostesses? Does hair always have to be tied up?
Yes. The standards for personal care are very high at Wizz Air and the cabin staff must always make sure that their hairstyle is perfect, as well as the make-up of the hostesses. We have a book with very precise guidelines which include every single detail of our appearance: from the hair style, to the make-up, to the color of the nails, up to the exact length of our skirts. Following the recruitment, the Company organizes a training day for the new hostesses about the indications for obtaining a perfect make-up and hairstyle, as well as all the different types of hairdo. In fact, the hair of the hostess in WIZZ must be carefully tied up, the only exception is possible in case of short cuts that don’t touch the shoulders.
What are the secrets behind your always tidy hairstyles? What kind of products do you use?
I usually use hair wax and hair spray. For a defined and well-groomed effect, it is better to use an ultra-strong hair spray, while those who prefer to have a slight fixing with a natural effect, can choose an ultra-light and flexible hair spray. The hair spray can also be combined with a soft and moisturizing hair wax for fixing: it’s a trick if you want to give more structure to the hairstyle and slightly dry the cream, just put a nut on the palm of your hand, spray a little hair spray and apply to the hair. In this way the wax will not lose its modeling and soft structure, but will be drier. Obviously, to fix a long-lasting hairdo, you will then need to comb them with a medium-tight comb or with a flat brush to pull the hair up effortlessly and easily manage the unruly locks that escape from ponytails and buns. To obtain an elaborate haido in a short time and a few simple gestures, there are then some accessories now in common use used to create perfect hairstyles, such as the tail puller, the donut for the bun or the terry bands for the low semicircle bun. They are a great invention for women like us who need neat and professional styling every day.
Is it better to have a particular cut for the best hairdo?
It is not always necessary to have a particular cut to make a beautiful hairdo. With long hair it may be easier to make a bun, but even with a shorter cut it is possible to show off a nice crop, perhaps with the help of fixing products and accessories for the hairstyle. Today, buns and tails are also readily available to apply for those who want to create an hairdo styling while having a short cut.
What tips can you give for girls who have frizzy hair? And for those with hair volume problems?
The first advice for both cases is not to wash your hair every day so as not to accentuate the problems of frizzy hair and lack of volume. To visibly reduce the annoying effects, it is advisable to use products such as wax, hair sprays or foams. In general, for a smooth styling on thick hair, it is better to choose a detangling and straightening product; if, instead, the hair is slightly frizzy but thin, you will need to mix a straightening product with a volumizing product. For curly styling, in the presence of thick and frizzy hair, the advice is to use a curling cream. For particularly frizzy or dry curls, however, it may be necessary to combine a restructuring cream or a leave-in conditioner that enhances the anti-frizz effect.
How to keep your hair always healthy and shiny? Do you use natural products and/or do you take care of them with particular practices?
Not stressing the hair too much with too aggressive products and treatments is essential to keep hair healthy and shiny. It is also important to use quality products that are as natural as possible, capable of rebalancing the hair structure. For this reason, a healthy diet and the integration of foods with specific properties for the nourishment and beauty of the hair is also a good practice for taking care of the hair naturally. It is above all proteins, mineral salts and vitamins that most influence the quality of the hair and, among the various most recommended foods, obviously fruit and vegetables play a primary role as always.
What is your favorite and most practical hairstyle at work and why? Try to tell readers the steps by giving them some tricks to create it in the best way
My favorite hairstyle is the bun. I think it’s the one that best represents the aviation style and gives a very professional look. There are many types of bun, high, low, side, banana, soft, … for a classic bun first you need to proceed with the styling of the hair, choosing a smooth fold so that you can stop the hair more easily and to have a perfectly tidy look. We then proceed with the creation of a ponytail as high as you want the chignon and well pulled at the sides. When making the classic high bun, you can leave a slight curvature of the hair on the forehead for a softer effect. Once the pony tail is made, if you follow the standard procedure, you have to twist the tail on itself around the base and stop it with hairpins to fix the hairstyle. Otherwise you can use a donut, placing it at the base of the tail and wrapping the hair around it, stopping it with bobby pins. In this way, in addition to having a perfect bun, you will also get a volume effect.
